Senator Joyce Scores Perfect Attendance for 2012 Session
Milton resident and State Senator Brian A. Joyce was one of 13 senators with perfect attendance in votes this year.

State Senator Brian A. Joyce did not miss a single one of the 179 votes taken during the 2012 Senate session. Joyce was one of only 13 senators with perfect voting records in the last year.

“While it’s easy to miss a vote while you are tied up at a committee hearing or speaking with a constituent, I make a great effort to make my votes count, particularly this session when so many matters related to our efforts to move our economy forward for families across my district and throughout Massachusetts,” said Joyce.

In addition to his voting record, Senator Joyce sponsored 75 pieces of legislation, and co-sponsored another 51 bills. He worked in the Senate on the Jobs Bill, authored legislation to create environmentally responsible B-Corporations, spearheaded the Senate’s efforts to pass a Transportation Bond Bill which authorized an investment of $1.5 billion for Fiscal Year 2013, including $885 million in state funds that leverage federal funds for state road, bridge, rail and regional transit projects, and the Health Care Cost Containment Bill, which will save the Commonwealth an estimated $200 billion in the next 15 years.
