(BOSTON) – Senator Brian A. Joyce is pleased to announce that through new updates launched last week, the Massachusetts Legislature’s website will feature a new visual presentation, enhanced search capabilities and a new mobile site. The updates add to the Legislature’s revamped website which was originally unveiled last year.
“The new site is much easier to use and allows every citizen of the Commonwealth to take part in the legislative process,” said Senator Joyce. “I hope that my constituents will take full advantage of these updates and provide me with feedback on the work I’m doing on their behalf.”
The updates improve the look and feel of the homepage, enhance the site’s capabilities for searching for current and past legislation, and make Senate and House member pages printer-friendly. The updates also introduce the website’s mobile site to allow residents to access the Legislature’s website on the go.
Originally launched in September of 2010, the Legislature’s website contains detailed information about bills, committees and the state budget. The site provides search options for bills and laws and makes it easier for constituents to find their legislators by simply entering an address. The site also features upcoming State House events, including House and Senate sessions and committee hearings; access to House and Senate webcasts; a comprehensive section on the state’s redistricting process; and increased ADA accessibility.
The new website can be found at www.MAlegislature.gov.
