Senator Joyce appeared on FOX25 News today to discuss the work he has done to try to stop aversive therapy at the Judge Rotenberg Center and to discuss a videotape of an incident at the JRC that FOX News has received and that the JRC does not want made public.

In May of 2011, Senator Joyce filed a budget amendment to ban the use of aversive therapy in the Commonwealth with the exception of individuals with an existing court-ordered behavior plan as of September 1, 2011 that includes aversive therapy treatment. Despite passing unanimously in the Senate, the amendment failed to make it into the final FY12 budget.
